Hi! It’s lovely to see you here.

I’m a writer, maker, biotechnology specialist, and mom. This is my personal blog where I talk about whatever — mostly writing, mommy stuff, projects I’m working on, and stuff that won’t fit on twitter.

I write in several styles and genres. My current book babies are a middle-grade science fiction novel, a contemporary fantasy novel, and several picture books. My humor writing has appeared at McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and other websites. I’ve contributed to blogs about science, technology, haiku, and zombies. I studied creative nonfiction writing at Johns Hopkins University, previously interned at a literary agency, and co-organize an active meetup group for writers in the DC area. I also write and design funny t-shirts (available at Etsy and Threadless). Sometimes I draw stuff, too.

My sons were born in 2012 and 2014. Being a mom is the best and most terrifying thing ever. I love it.
