NaNoWriMo Again!

NaNoWriMo participant badgeFor the fifth year now, I’m doing NaNoWriMo, that yearly challenge to write 50,000 words of a novel in the month of November. To win, one must achieve the 50,000 word goal. I won the first two years I participated, but I haven’t made it to the finish line for two years now. Will I do it this year? Here’s hoping!

This November, I’m cheating a little. I still haven’t finished writing the final chapters of the manuscript I was planning to finish before November. I only have about 5,000 more words of it to write, though, which I can theoretically bang out in three days of NaNoWriMo (at a pace of 1,667 words per day). So, I’m working on finishing that first, then I’m going to start the new novel I have been planning to write this month. How exciting!

Normally, there are NaNoWriMo word count widgets available on the website, so you’d be able to monitor my progress here. This year, the widgets aren’t ready yet. You’ll have to check out my NaNoWriMo profile to see how I’m doing. If you’re doing NaNoWriMo too and you want to be buddies, please go ahead and add me!
